Smart Atencios Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

This policy describes the information Smart Atencios and its products may collect or process, why that information is used, when it may be shared, how long it may be retained, and the choices available to you. Because the products have different features and storage designs, this general policy is supplemented by each product's own privacy policy.

Product-specific privacy policies

1. Who we are and scope

Smart Atencios publishes digital products, including CJ, an AI assistant; Our Budget, a household budgeting application; Luminox, an oral-care routine tracker; and Budget Desktop, a companion to Our Budget. This policy explains the general privacy practices for smartatencios.com and how information may be handled across our products. Each product's own policy provides more specific details and should be read alongside this policy.

2. Information you provide

Depending on the page and product you choose to use, you may submit contact details, account information, questions, support messages, AI prompts and conversation content, files or text you provide to a feature, budget information such as income and expenses, or routine and preference information. You can choose not to provide optional information, but some features may then be unavailable. Please do not submit sensitive information unless it is necessary for the feature and you understand how it will be processed.

3. Account, authentication, and security data

When a product requires sign-in or account access, its authentication service may process information such as an email address, account identifier, sign-in status, and session or authentication tokens. If you choose Google sign-in, Google processes the authentication flow under its own policies, and Smart Atencios receives the information returned by the configured sign-in process. We do not receive your Google password. Our Budget and related services may use account or household access credentials to control access to budget data; keep those credentials private.

4. Google account data and connected Google services

Smart Atencios offers CJ, an AI assistant that connects to Google Workspace when a user explicitly authorizes it. CJ requests Google identity information (name, email, account identifier); Drive file names, IDs, metadata and content of accessible files; Docs document text; Sheets spreadsheet values; Slides presentation content; Gmail messages including sender, recipients, subject, body, labels and message identifiers; and Calendar names, identifiers and event details. Access depends on the actual Google permissions granted. CJ never receives a user's Google password.

5. How Google data is used

CJ uses authorized Google data only to provide or improve CJ's prominent user-facing Google-connected features, including user-requested searches, document and spreadsheet operations, email management, and calendar operations. When users ask CJ to summarize or edit Google content, relevant content may be processed by an AI provider only to produce that requested output. CJ does not use Google user data for unrelated product analytics, advertising, selling data, determining creditworthiness, or developing, improving or training generalized, non-personalized AI or machine-learning models. Google API data remains subject to Google's Limited Use requirements.

6. Google data storage, sharing, and retention

CJ maintains Google account connection information and OAuth tokens required to keep authorized connections working. Google content may be temporarily processed to carry out user-requested features, and content explicitly saved to CJ documents, conversations or workspaces may be retained to maintain those features. Infrastructure, authentication, database and AI-processing providers may process only data necessary to supply the user-facing features, with user consent where required. Other disclosure of Google API data is restricted to security needs, applicable law, or a business transfer with explicit prior user consent; it is never shared for advertising, data brokerage or unrelated model training. Disconnecting Google stops future authorized access but does not necessarily delete information previously saved within CJ. Users can request deletion of saved content through Smart Atencios support.

7. Google permissions, revocation, and deletion

Google Workspace connections are optional. Users can revoke CJ's authorization through their Google Account third-party connections at https://myaccount.google.com/connections. Revocation stops subsequent authorized Google API access, but may not erase CJ content already saved during prior use. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information and Google-derived content stored by Smart Atencios, use the contact details on https://smartatencios.com/contact and identify the relevant account and data; do not include passwords or access tokens. We verify requests where necessary and handle them subject to applicable retention obligations. Google user data is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

8. Technical information and website operations

When you visit the website or use a product, hosting, security, and diagnostic systems may process technical data such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, referrer information, error reports, and server request logs. These records can help deliver pages, detect misuse, troubleshoot failures, and protect availability. The site is hosted using Vercel infrastructure; Vercel may process technical and operational information as part of hosting and related services.

9. Analytics and performance

Website analytics or performance measurement features may collect usage and performance events, such as page views, navigation patterns, loading performance, or technical diagnostics, depending on the feature and its configuration. The website includes Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights components. The data collected and any applicable controls depend on their deployed configuration and the provider's current practices. We do not promise that every product uses the same analytics configuration.

10. How we use information

Information may be used to provide the page or feature you request; authenticate users and maintain sessions; respond to messages and support requests; process AI prompts to return responses; save and synchronize budget data; maintain routine history or preferences; send operational or requested emails; troubleshoot errors; monitor performance; prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; comply with law; and enforce applicable terms. We aim to use information for these service-related purposes and for other purposes disclosed when you provide it.

11. AI features and third-party processing

If you use CJ or another AI-enabled feature, the prompt, text, file, or other content needed to fulfill your request may be transmitted to the AI model or service provider configured for that feature. The provider processes the information to deliver the requested result and may have its own terms, privacy policy, retention rules, and model-training settings. The exact provider and settings can depend on the deployed configuration. Do not assume that AI prompts or uploaded content remain only on your device, and review any feature-specific notice before submitting sensitive content.

12. Product storage and local data

Different products store different categories of information. Our Budget may store budget information through Supabase-backed services so supported data can be saved or synchronized. Budget Desktop accesses shared Our Budget data, so uninstalling the desktop application does not necessarily delete cloud-stored budget records. Luminox stores routine information and preferences in local browser storage in its web version; that data may be lost if browser site data is cleared and may be accessible to someone with access to the same browser profile. CJ may process prompts, account details, and other content through the services needed for its features. Please read each product's dedicated policy linked below.

13. Service providers and sharing

We may share information with service providers that help host and secure the website, authenticate users, store or synchronize requested data, measure site performance, deliver email, distribute software, or process AI requests. Providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies and according to the services configured. We may also disclose information where required by law or legal process, to investigate or prevent fraud or security incidents, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transaction where legally permitted. We do not use this policy to claim that every product shares the same data with every provider.

14. Retention and deletion

Retention depends on the type of information, product, feature, provider, and operational or legal needs. Local browser data generally remains in the browser profile until cleared or replaced. Account or cloud records may remain until deleted through available product controls or handled through the relevant service's processes. Security logs, backups, support correspondence, and provider records may persist for different periods. This general policy does not promise a single fixed retention period or that uninstalling an app deletes associated cloud data. You may contact us to ask about information associated with you.

15. Security

We use service features and safeguards appropriate to the operation of our products, which may include access controls, authenticated requests, and infrastructure-provider security measures. No website, network transmission, device, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Use strong, unique credentials where available, keep devices updated, sign out on shared devices, and do not share passwords, household passcodes, or authentication tokens.

16. Your choices and privacy rights

You can choose what information to submit and whether to use optional features or integrations. You can clear browser storage to remove locally stored data, but this does not remove server-side or third-party records. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity and may retain some information where permitted or required by law.

17. Children

Our products are not intended for children who are not permitted to use them under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review the concern and take appropriate steps.

18. Third-party websites and downloads

Our website may link to third-party services, sign-in providers, documentation, or software downloads, including services operated by Google, GitHub, or other providers. When you follow an external link or use a third-party service, that provider's privacy policy and terms apply to its processing. We do not control the privacy practices of external websites.

19. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our website, products, service providers, or legal obligations change. The latest stated update date appears at the top of this page. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes. Product-specific policies may also be updated separately.
